We could never thank you enough for the beautiful home you built for us. From start to finish, the process was smooth, exciting, and more fun than we could have hoped. We think the best compliment we could give is to say that we would do it all over again.

We met with a lot of builders before making our decision to use Stevens Builders. Once we met you, we both agreed we were done looking. You sincerely made that important decision our best and easiest. With you and your team, we were able to enjoy each stage of the process. Anyone can slap up drywall and make a house look good., but we saw the craftmanship and superior build quality that went into each step of the building of our home. That is what sets you apart from all the other builders and us so proud to say Stevens Builders built our home!

First and foremost, we appreciated how personable and accomodating you were. We could tell you cared not only about meeting our needs, but exceeding our expectations. You remained accessible throughout the process, and those early morning meetings on the lot were some of our favorites. It was so nice to have someone willing to go over the details, answer every question, and who we could trust to be fair.

Your strong relationship with your subcontractors also put us at ease. We had the utmost trust in their workmanship, and their insight, ideas and collaboration gave us the opportunity to take a very hands-on role in the building of our home and make changes that ultimately improved how the house meets our lifestyle. In addition, we got more out of every dollar - standard. And your standards were higher than other builders we considered. Your flexibility and understanding as we made updates was above par, as was your willingness to make us feel like part of the Stevens Builders team.

Once we were ready to move in, we still had a ton of questions. Not only was this our first custom home, but it was our first house altogether. Just like throughout the building process, we felt comfortable to ask all the stupid questions, and you were so nice to take the time to answer them. You even gave us little tips here and there and an orientation to the house, which we were happy to receive.

Every day we are in our home is another chance to appreciate the love and care you put into helping us realize our dream. We planned for years, built for months, and will live there for a lifetime. From the beginning, as we walked through the woods that eventually became our home-site, we were impressed with how easy it is to work with you. The same held true as we worked with the rest of your team. The attention to detail, management of our expectations and warm reception to ideas for custom features was very much appreciated. We enjoyed our experience with your contractors and really liked working with your Project Manager, John. The professionalism, communication and knowledge of these individuals, whom we now call our friends, were exceptional.

Throughout the construction process, we found that you listened to our needs and consistently guided us in the right direction, which resulted in the realization of our dream ? owning a beautiful and spacious, custom-built home set on a magnificent wooded lot. Your flexible, accommodating approach and personal interest in helping us to get the home we truly desired, was very apparent throughout the process.

Dear Mark,

Tom and I are thrilled with our new home. We cannot tell you how much we appreciate all that you have done for us over the past year and a half. Were it not for your guidance and generosity, we would not have the beautiful land and home that we have today. Through the many unfortunate situations we found ourselves in - with the non-buildable lot in Laytonsville, the lot in Damascus with septic problems, our current lot with the tree and driveway problems - you were the only person we could trust. You were genuinely concerned about us and looked out for our best interests.

Once the construction process finally started, you made the process easy and enjoyable. There were several times you went out of your way to accommodate our needs (and my whims) - like designing a new layout for the master bath, accommodating for the mistakes in the architect's drawing (even though it meant allot of rework), working and reworking the arched doorway's until they were perfect, building a custom gable decoration for the porch (when the one I selected didn't fit), changing all the brass hardware to chrome (because I didn't like brass), and the list goes on. You were extremely reasonable with charging us for change orders, and when possible you actually saved us money.

When we first started this process, we interviewed about ten different builders in this area. We chose Stevens Builders because we believed you were caring and trustworthy and built quality homes at a reasonable price. Now at the end of the process, I can say that we were absolutely correct in our assessment. You've far exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much.
